Sam Hicks

Sam has been tattooing for over 30 years, making him the most experienced artist at Dark Horse. Originally from Los Angeles, Sam has tattooed all over the nation at various prominent shops and at countless tattoo conventions. He has won numerous awards in a wide variety of categories, and is sponsored by some of the biggest names in the tattoo supply and machine building industries. He does a bunch of different tattoo styles, but really excels at and loves to do realistic black and grey tattoos. Sam is well versed in fine art and his paintings have been on exhibition all over the U.S. in art shows that include some of the biggest names in tattooing. He is a great tattoo artist as well as a walking encyclopedia of tattoo knowledge, and we are very grateful to have him here with us at Dark Horse.
